Amol Ghoting

I am a Research Staff Member in the Analytics Algorithms and Architecture group at IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. My research interests lie in data mining, high performance computing, machine learning, and architecture-conscious algorithms. I am especially interested in designing algorithms and systems support to process and analyze large data sets, while ensuring efficient utilization of modern and emerging computer architectures. Since graduating, I have focused on designing algorithms and parallelization infrastructures for emerging data intensive systems like Apache Hadoop’s Map-Reduce. I am a founding member of the System-ML and NIMBLE projects at IBM Research that aim to develop declarative and imperative approaches for implementing parallel analytics algorithms, respectively. Please refer to my publications for further details.
